Weather-related closings, cancellations for Tuesday

Schools are closed today in Spooner, according to the Spooner Area School District. The closure comes as Northwestern Wisconsin is under a winter storm warning, with 6-8 inches expected for Washburn County, according to the National Weather Service.

Schools are closed today in Spooner, according to the Spooner Area School District.

The closure comes as Northwestern Wisconsin is under a winter storm warning, with 6-8 inches expected for Washburn County, according to the National Weather Service.

The South Shore School District will be dismissing class at noon today and all after-school activities are cancelled. 

Other weather-related cancellations for Tuesday:

  • Superior School District afterschool activities, extracurricular activities and community events (After School Program child care and teacher meetings still scheduled)
  • Duluth Public Schools afterschool activities (Key Zone will remain open with parent pick up only)
  • Duluth Community Education classes 
  • Stella Maris Academy afterschool activities (Extended Day remains open)
